These arrangements were part of a midterm and final project for 21M.340, Jazz arranging.

The midterm project was a piece arranged in classic 12-bar blues style, arranged for 5 parts. I chose to arrange Sir John by Blue Mitchell. See here for arranged score. In addition, the professor surprised us by hiring a professional Jazz band to come in and perform our arrangements. See here for a recording of the arrangement.

The final project was arranged in 32-bar style, for 7 parts (including percussion). My arrangement is of Killer Joe by Benny Golson. Here is the arranged score. Here is a recording of a live performance.
